This image of the Green Pond Frog or Indian Green Frog or Indian Five-fingered Frog (Euphlyctis hexadactylus) was taken on 08/22/2022 at the National Botanical Garden, Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh in an artificial pond filled with water lilies and lotus. Green pond frog is a common species of aquatic frog found in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. They are found in Ponds, puddles and stagnant water pools with vegetations at all elevations. During the monsoon after the first rain they start breeding. Eggs are laid in ponds and paddy fields and other fresh waterbodies with water plants.
