This hidden canyon on Dukan Lake was the last thing I had expected to see on my trip to Iraq. Mainstream media portrays the country as a war-torn desert, but gems like these exist! An untouched, pristine, naturally carved canyon with turquoise waters. Stay long enough and you'll spot fishes trying to swim upstream, flying up the waterfalls!
