Chapelle Saint-Aubert, Mont Saint-Michel, Normandy, France
As its elementary Romance style suggests, this chapel would have been set up under Robert de Torigni (abbot of 1154 to 1186), in the honor of Aubert II. It's here, according to the legend, that a rock fell ( the rock known as Peak-Saint-Aubert) on which is built the current monument: Aubert d' Avranches having received the order to undertake construction of what became the Mount-Saint-Michel.
