One of a series of images taken in 2019 in Ballybunion, Ireland.I decided to photograph the older generation ( Active Retired Group), and that in doing so,will maybe end the stereotyping of older people and make the community more aware of how much more there is to people once they have retired, taking time to engage and be inspired by there wisdom. All images where to show them "Still having the Craic" doing what they love doing or would have loved to have done in a Fantasy like image, to create a story that would include there unique character and vibrance. This is Maureen and since the fitting of a new Stairlift, she now has the freedom to make a cup of tea, whenever she likes. Before the stairlift was fitted it would have been to much of an effort once in bed to go downstairs to make a cup of tea..
