High Up! Suspended in the air: 1 woman, 4 men painstakingly applying genuine Gold Leaf . No Painting!

I was amazed and in awe when I glanced up while waiting to cross the street, standing at the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue & East 57th Street in Manhattan, in New York City, and saw five people suspended in the air, on the side of the famous Crown Building. I was even more amazed when I eventually learned that one of the people doing the work was a woman! I have tremendous respect for people who do this amazing work. They are NOT painting. They are painstakingly applying the genuine gold leaf, which is on paper, to the sections where the gold leaf is!! Weather conditions play a big part in whether the work will be done or not. Can't have wind, or bad weather. The gold leaf is on paper-- so amazing!
