Highlands of Northern Laos
Ethereal, I thought, in the sense of too perfect for this world. This is what the highlands of northern Laos looked like from my window seat on the early morning Lao Airlines flight 633 from Luang Prabang . . . from 18,000 feet in the air. So beautiful and so different from my impressions leftover from news stories of my youth.
