Hight intensity training at night

Like more than 90 other Khmer pagodas in Soc Trang province, Vietnam, Chrôi Tưm Chắs is closely associated with the cultural, daily and spiritual life of the local community. Members nearly 60 people practiced at night on a wooden frame truss on a lake behind the of Chrôi Tưm Chắs pagoda to prepare for traditional boat race (the Ghe Ngo in Vietnamese, about 25 to 30 meters long), part of the Khmer people's Ok-Om-Bok festival. The Khmer boat race on Maspero river (Soctrang) has become a signature Mekong Delta event and indispensable to Ok-om-Bok celebrations, which fall on the 15th day of the 10th lunar month (November 8 this year). It is a time for the Khmer to show their gratitude to the Moon Goddess for bumper harvests and aquatic surplus. Every day, many tourists come here to visit and take pictures, a well-known spiritual tourism spot in Vietnam in general, Soc Trang province in particular.
