As a matter of fact, I took this photo while hiking in Wilmington, NC, not just near the city. This trail is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood but made me feel as if I were in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. No sign of mankind was to be seen along the river or on the shores. Such a feeling is extremely hard to forget, and even more so when a picture like this comes out of it.
