Hiking the abandoned railway tunnels in winter, Donner Lake, CA
The railway tunnels above Donner Lake in California were built by Chinese immigrant laborers, brought to the US to make up for labor shortages. The tunnels were constructed by hand drilling and explosions, leading to an uncounted number of deaths.
