The black honey lunar period, The eclips of the last month chaitra in Bengali calendar, the thirteenth of the dark. A lot of people gather in the orakandi village for Baruni snan in kasiani in Gopalganj district. People from different part of Bangladesh are coming towards orakandi thekur’s house. They are clanking, sounding with conch and drums and screeming Hori name with red flag in their hand. The orakandi fair is named after the orakandi village also known as matua fair.this fair is arranged by the matua sect as their religious vew.in the mid nineteenth century this religious thought arises in faridpur district now part of Gopalganj district in Bangladesh.
