Hispaniolan Woodpecker on Travellers Palm Tree

Hispaniolan Woodpeckers are beautiful birds, native of Hispaniola Island in the Caribbean. They travel in groups and feed in the trees, making or digging holes in them. They are so loud that you cannot miss their presence. Once you start following their movements, you will be amazed by their ability to climb up and down the tree trunks and hammer relentlessly upon the tree barks
