This photo is composed of two main entrances (Symbol of victory & protection) and part of the main castle of Thanjavur Big Temple which was built around the beginning of the 10th Century BC by the greatest chola Dynasty. I have categorized this under 'Sustainable Travel' since i believe this ‘UNESCO Approved World Heritage Monument’ needs more recognition and should receive more light from worldwide Media which in turn will help in preserving and promoting this Majestic Architectural structures standing for centuries. This promotion also plays a major part in improving the Eco and Historical Tourism in and around this place.
