I discovered the stories of Washington's past. I was thrilled to bits to learn about the state's unique people and places and their impact on the country and the world. It was an experience filled with interactive exhibits and displays, theatrical storytelling and dramatic artifacts. Personally, looking at this woman I thought of my own grandmother. My words may sound a little crazy (maybe not a little), but her eyes full of kindness reminded me that we are all alike and united. She used to tell how she would make baskets here in Uzbekistan. So, this is how I reflect on that very moment.
