History Meets Faith
This is a wrought iron gate featuring an Aboriginal / First Nations design. The gate is the entrance to a church built utilizing gothic revival architectural design elements. The contrast between Canadian settlers' and Aboriginal peoples' intertwined history is symbolically bridged by the incorporation and combination of artforms representing the values of both, highlighting the importance of reconciliation.
