After the storm no.9, it rained heavily and Hoi An old town was flooded. Tourists visited the old town by boat. It is also unique about traveling in Hoi An in the flood season. At the 23rd session at the end of 1999 (December 4), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized the ancient town of Hoi An as a world cultural heritage.
