Holy Bathers at Varanasi

This ancient step well, adjacent to the bank of the river Ganges, Varanasi, is considered holy. Newly married couples come here, accompanied by a priest, to take a holy dip to ensure peace and prosperity in their future lives. This traditional practice apparently gives “god’s blessings” to the future generations.
