This is a photo of the Georgetown canal at sunset, taken from Wisconsin Ave. The scene stood out to me after seeing a documentary on the Turkish-Armenian photographer Ara Guler. Ara Guler taught me to look for depth when taking a photo and I felt like the Georgetown canal on this night had a lot of depth. My favorite part is the yellowish-greenish light shining across the canal at the bottom of the photo.
