Homage to Edward Hopper
I love the mystery of Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks," so when I went out to shoot photos in the city at night, I looked for an image that evoked the atmosphere of that painting. This picture looks in through the window of a diner closing for the night, and you can see bits of reflections of what's outside in the glass. There is a deserted feeling about it, even though it is still brightly lit. This area of the city changes from a lively night scene to a more sinister atmosphere as it gets late.
