Homes Within Homes
Biological richness is a feature that marks an Old Growth Forest, here lies ecosystems within ecosystems, worlds within worlds. A single redwood tree can sustain an entire ecosystem complete with its own micro-climate. The trees supply 40% of its water from the air, their leaves capture water molecules from the fog to create its own localized rain. These giants have provided not only homes but harmony to countless interspecies families for over a millennium. This is a place where I feel home.
