Hon Khoi salt worker

Local worker passing Hon Khoi salt field at sunrise to star his daily work. Harvesting season here is usually between the months of January and July when the weather during the day is extremely hot. The salt workers use rakes to create mounds of crystallized salt in the fields while others collect it in baskets and wheelbarrows and deliver their salt just outside the field in a larger heap for later processing.
