The image shows a large tree at the gates of the city Bhaktapur in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. Large parts of the city have been destroyed by the devastating earth quake in 2015. This tree with its lush green leaves provides not only shadow in the midday sun but appeared to me also as metaphor for hope.
