Hope in a burned out redwood forest.

Stump sprouting, this burned out ancient redwood tree gives new life to identical thriving clones. Redwoods possess high developed tools for fighting forest fire. Tannins in their bark help repel the flames, together with rapid regrowth at the stump, give them an edge for survival.
