Horse Shoe Bend is a horseshoe shaped meander of Colorado river located near the town of Page, Arizona. This is one of the major traveled and photographed location of USA. This is a geographical wonder at same time historical too. Andrew Jackson and his forces won the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814. Horseshoe Bend was the major battle of the Creek War, in which Jackson sought to "clear" the Mississippi Territory for American settlement. He commanded an army of Tennessee militia men, which he had turned into a well-trained fighting force. This particular location comes in school geographic text book.
