Horsetail In Demantoid Garnet
This is a classic example of what is known in the gemstone trade as a "Horsetail" inclusion in Demantoid, Garnet. The gemstone is found in the Ural Mountains, Russia. The fibers are most likely Chrysotile stemming from a possible Chromite core.
