The annular solar eclipse of 2023 coincided with Albuquerque's annual hot air balloon fiesta. In preparation for the eclipse, I was taking some test shots with a solar filter when a balloon appeared right behind the sun, obscured by the filter. Some sun spots are visible behind the very thin cloud cover, which gave the scene an out-worldly feel.
