October in New Mexico means balloon fiesta, and while we missed it last year, this year it was back in full swing. It is a time of beauty and chaos in the city of Albuquerque, sitting in the high desert. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to see the flocks of hot air balloons, clogging the streets and roadways, eyes skyward, gazing at the colorful spectacle.
