There was high of 103 degrees Fahrenheit in El Paso, on August 7th, 2019. I was dressed in a loose grey v neck with black Addida sweats, and I was melting. This made me feel empathetic for the officers who were dressed from head to toe in riot gear, and everyone else who was there. The cloud that covered the sun brought a beautiful silence of appreciation to the crowded block.
