House call

Over the years, Mr Harry Joseph has narrated to me many fascinating tales of his long life during my house calls, as I am privileged to have him under my medical care. A man of great kindness and of uncommon wisdom, he came to America from the Caribbean Islands, worked jobs that have left deep marks in his health, and climbed to the top of the Freemasonry ranks. He is also an artist. Among his many creations, the most impressive to me (and his favorite) was a large bas-relief metal panel with highly symbolic representations. I offered to photograph him right there, in his own house. He graciously accepted and posed by wearing his dazzling regalia, with his mysterious masterpiece as background and a book of special meaning next to him.
