Howler Monkey Pantanal, Brazil
This howler monkey was photographed in the Pantanal, in a forested area along the Transpanatareia. While Capuchin monkeys are often spotted in various locations in the Pantanal, Howler monkeys in the Pantanal, and more generally, prefer the higher reaches of the forest canopy. Access to an elevated hide with a viewing platform provided an opportunity to observe and photograph a group of howler monkeys with this individual venturing out into the open along a large tree branch.
