San Pedro de Hualla is located south of Huamanga in Ayacucho. During the 80s this district was one of the places where lived under the terror. The terrorist group Sendero Luminoso controlled daily life in this small town. But the arrival of the Armed Forces to counter the actions of Sendero Luminoso brought with it hundreds of missing that even today remain as such. In the photo Juana Crisante , widow of Fortunato Mendez, look out the window of her home and trying to keep the living memory of her missing husband. She for not having the body of her husband can not opt for civil compensation that the Peruvian state gives to victims of terrorism.
