Hubbard Glacier Calving

Watching the Hubbard Glacier calve (when huge chunks of ice melt from the front edge) was unlike anything we could imagine - from the sound of the tons of ice hitting the ice cold water below to the view of the tremendous splash it left behind, we were utterly amazed. Although our ship stopped at many interesting ports on our cruise, our day on the ship watching this glacier made the top of the favorites list.
