Hummingbird perches on Cardinal Flower
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) --- likely a juvenile male --- perches on a Cardinal Flower (Lobelia cardinalis) in the late afternoon at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I believe the ruby color that appears on the throat is more distinct as they mature.
