Having fallen in love with Vietnam 3 years ago I have started to research some of the traditional crafts that still exist in this corner of south-east Asia. In a small village near to Hanoi you can find this area that produces ban sauce. Soya and fermented sticky rice sauce are produced here in vast quantities. With the help of my trusted guide we were given the address of the factory and made our way there one afternoon.
