The tradition of the New Year coming in Crihana Veche, Rep. of Moldavia. There is a Festival of the New Year in Crihana, with Romanian dancing teams from both sides of the Prut river. The Old Year is putting a fight with the New Year, the ritual including also historical characters related to the Good and the Evil.
