Icarus III
This is the third photo in the series, titled "Icarus III." The inspiration for this photograph came from Greek mythology, specifically the Icarus and Daedalus story. The melted paraffin wax and the feathers are the main association to the Greek story. This story is about an individual who flew too close to the sun and died as a result of failing to remain humble and overestimating one's capabilities. I find this to be an important personal reminder because ignorance of one's limitations does not lead to progress or growth.
