Ice house on abandoned WWll army camp

This is, what may have been an ice house at Camp Livingston, near Pineville, La. Camp Livingston was a training army camp, during WWll. It was a small city, with a theater, bowling alley, swimming pool, etc. Thousands of young men lived and trained here before being sent to fight. The forest has reclaimed this space but there are many remnants of structures and roads, some now impassable. Now this old camp is used for target practice, hiking, biking; many search for arrowheads or just ride the old roads, searching for what's left of old buildings and to relive the history of this old abandoned army camp. So many young men passed through here, never to return.
