Ice Wall
Located in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina, Perito Moreno Glacier is an anomaly amongst glaciers worldwide: it continues to grow in a world where most glaciers are receding at an alarming rate. As tall as a twenty story building and covering nearly one hundred square miles, the glacier presents an imposing wall of ice on the calm surface of Lago Argentino. The sharp cracks and low rumbles of falling ice remind us that Perito Moreno is constantly changing and its future is uncertain. Depicted here is one of the world’s largest reserves of freshwater as a fragile and otherworldly landscape.
