On August 3rd, 2022, Fagradalsfjall volcano on Reykjanes peninsula erupted again. Weeks of earthquakes preceded the event, with the strongest tremors measuring above 5.0 on the Richter scale. Fortunately, no significant injuries or property damage were reported.
