If one swallow makes a summer - then what about this?
Visiting a National Trust property in early autumn the swallows and house martins were gathering before setting off on their migration to Africa. They would all take off together, swoop around the sky and then settle back on the telegraph lines again - repeating the process every 5 minutes or so - then suddenly they had all gone - departed south.
