--Imagined? #7b
In my ‘—Imagined?’ series, I want to draw the viewer into an alternate reality where nothing is as it seems. We assume that photography fixes a kind of truth: a moment in real time. But the truth is that photographs are the greatest lies, the ultimate sleights of hand, for once a photograph is formed it’s already myth. It's the same with the natural world. Once we think we've categorized something explicitly, a glich occurs to alter our understanding. For we ourselves are the greatest examples of the natural world, evolving.
