This is the view of the Statue of Liberty taken from the Ellis Island Hospital. Because all 4 of my grandparents came through Ellis Island, I have a special connection to Ellis Island. I took a hard hat tour and when I saw this view of the Statue from the hospital, I wondered how many immigrants saw that view but then were turned away because of an illness.
