Here, you can see the Art Institute of Chicago employees waiting for guests to come in. Since I am a student member, I am able to visit the museum an hour earlier than the regular crowds. This makes me feel like I can appreciate the artworks a bit more at ease, at my own pace. Although these employees are several feet apart, the warmth of the light penetrating the space between them and the overall ambience of the museum gives the impression of friendliness and togetherness. They are both looking at the common direction (towards the outside world), signifying solidarity and also guardianship.
