The displayed photograph is a part of the photo series "in sects" which deals with the experience of growing up in sects and religious cults. By cutting actual insects (in this case a hornet) into pieces and reorganizing them, it doesn't only denaturalize them in their physical appearance but also deprives them of their real function.
