12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
In the Dark
Albinos are very sensitive to daylight and sun. Their skin and eyes have a total or partial lack of pigmentation which causes sensitivity to the sun and visual impairments. Their skin gets burned under the sun and they almost can’t open the eyes with strong light. That’s why all the activities for a group of albinos kids during the annual albinos meeting had to be done indoors.
