In the land of craters
Trees are glorious. Countless beautiful creatures, small and large, reside in the forests. Sadly, dozens of destructive wildfires have recently obliterated numerous forests in the western United States. This image portrays the devastation caused by the Dixie fire, California's largest single wildfire. I took this picture just south of Lassen Volcanic National Park, a beautiful area full of craters, while flying my Piper Warrior single-engine plane.
