19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
in the light of the rain
One summer morning I set out to look for adult lion ants. The wings of these insects of the order neuroptera glow and light up against the light. When taking the photo, small drops from an irrigation sprinkler entered the frame.
