In the thicket

A leopard in the Masai Mara, Kenya, drags its pray into the safety of a thicket. Leopards are vulnerable to attack whilst eating on the ground, and having their food stolen by hyenas or lions. This female leopard had a cub hidden in the bushes, and so was being especially cautious to avoid detection. Around three months of age, young leopards begin to follow their mothers on hunts, but before then, they are left alone for long stretches of time, and remaining well hidden is their best chance of survival. Even baboons are known to kill baby leopards if they find them. A few moments later, this mother and cub were enveloped by the safety of the trees, but I did manage to get one relatively unobstructed photograph of her before leaves and branches got in the way.
