Incense is burned before Chinese New Year in Hong Kong
The iconic Sik Sik Temple in the New Territories of Hong Kong is an infamous gathering place before Chinese New Year. People come to this temple and present offerings and burn incense for good fortune and prosperity before the holidays. The smells of the incense, the warmth of the sun, the sounds of people, and the bright colours of the temple contribute to the festive atmosphere of this time.
