The artwork is a photography of a small art installation. Here I use delicate, transparent balloons to show the fragility and emptiness associated with infertility. Inside each of the five balloons are dry plants, flower petals, and leaves. It is like echoes of life, but no longer living. The dry plants and their floral arrangement highlights the painful reality of infertility, where the hope for life exists, but it cannot flourish. It's a metaphorical depiction of infertile eggs. This artwork is part of a large art project called “Fragile Beginnings” about the complexity of motherhood and the sanctity of human life.
