There is a sense of renewed mindfulness that one gets from the emptiness, the endless flickering reflections of light flowing from the sky into the water. The feeling of approaching the exact limit separating ocean and earth. The clean lines of the hills around this lake added to the sense of simplicity. There was almost complete silence.
